Background & Objectives:
The process of developments in the health system is a universal challenge, so foresight and preparation for dealing with risky conditions are essential for the health system. This study aimed to survey factors affecting future studies in Educational Hospitals of Kerman University of Medical Sciences.
This phenomenological qualitative study was conducted on 10 managers, experts in future studies and faculty members of Management and Medical Informatics School, Kerman University of Medical Sciences selected using purposeful sampling in 2015. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using framework analysis and MAXQDA10 software.
In whole, 10 main themes including leadership style of managers, education, policy, investment, environmental conditions, prediction, creativity and innovation, managers' knowledge and skills, formality and complexity and competition as well as 36 sub-themes were identified.
It seems that, in spite of the formality and complexity of the organization, essential training at the management and staff levels by using managerial skills and different teams can cause more creativity in the production of ideas. Furthermore, organizational climate and the hospital environment can be prepared for accepting changes while taking into account scenarios of the future, Delphi expert opinions and panel groups for discussion of experts and ordinary people.
