Realizing and being awareof lifestyle help us change and improve it, and then counteract the risk factorswhich are included in mortality. Lifestyle in aging impacts on their health and conception of aging process. This study intends to determine the lifestyle level among the elderly in Shiraz. Method: In this descriptive-analytical study, 110 elderly members of nursing homesinShiraz were studied. Demographic characteristicsand elderly healthy lifestyle information was collected using a questionnaire, the validity and reliability of which has been proved. We analyzed them by SPSS 20 version using Chi-Square, ANOVA, and Independent t-test. Results: The average of elderly lifestyle scores was 154/33±7/58 that suggests a desirable lifestyle, and there was no meaningful difference between both sexes. (P>0/05). Chi-Square test showed that there was a significant relationship between the area of personal and social relationship and sex, (P=0/002), (r=0/01). The results also showed that there is a significant relationship between the area of prevention and sex (P =0/042). Conclusion: Despite desirableelderly lifestyle, interventions to raise awareness about their healthy lifestyles, particularly in areas of nutrition, are essential. Increased awareness of chronic diseases in the elderly, can increase theirunderstanding of the potential health consequences resulting from their performance and encourage them to make effective lifestyle changes.
