<p style="text-align: justify;"> <strong> چکیده </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> <strong> مقدمه: </strong>پسماندهای بیمارستانی به علت دارا بودن عوامل خطرناک و بیماری­زا از حساسیت خاصی برخوردار بوده و در نتیجه مدیریت صحیح این مواد نقش به سزائی در کنترل آلودگی محیط زیست و میزان بروز عفونت­های بیمارستان دارد. در این مطالعه مدیریت پسماندهای بیمارستانی کلیه بیمارستان­های تحت پوشش دانشگاه علوم پزشکی کرمان با هدف فراهم کردن اطلاعات مناسب جهت برنامه­ریزی جامع و مناسب و ارتقاء کیفیت خدمات بهداشتی و درمانی در آینده مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> <strong> روش بررسی: </strong>این مطالعه از نوع توصیفی- مقطعی می­باشد که اطلاعات با تکمیل پرسشنامه، تکمیل جداول خام، مصاحبه، مشاهده و بازدید در سال ۱۳۹۱-۱۳۹۲، در مورد تولید، تفکیک، جمع آوری، ذخیره سازی، بی خطر سازی، حمل و نقل و دفع پسماندهای تولیدی به دست آمد.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> <strong> یافته­ ها: </strong>کل تخت­های بیمارستان­های مورد مطالعه ۱۵۱۲ عدد بودند و از این تعداد ۱۲۶۹ تخت فعال هستند. ضریب اشغال برای تخت­های بیمارستان­های مورد مطالعه 92/83­% به دست آمد. سرانه­ پسماند تولیدی کل به ازای هر تخت (فعال) در شبانه روز برابر 06/6 کیلوگرم به دست آمد. میزان سرانه تولید پسماندهای عفونی، دارویی، شیمیایی، معمولی و شبه خانگی و نوک تیز و برنده به ترتیب 65/2، 35/3 و 08/0 کیلوگرم در شبانه روز به ازای هر تخت می­باشد و حدود ۴۳ درصد از میزان پسماندهای تولیدی عفونی، دارویی و شیمیایی می ­ باشد.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> <strong> بحث و نتیجهگیری: </strong>در مجموع وضعیت مدیریت پسماندهای بیمارستانی در بیمارستان­های وابسته به دانشگاه علوم پزشکی کرمان تقریباً مطلوب بوده، اما در بعضی از موارد نیازمند توجه بیشتر است.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma;"><span font-size:="" new="" times=""> </span><strong font-size:="" new="" style="font-family: " times="">Introduction:</strong><span font-size:="" new="" times=""> Hospital wastes have high sensitivity due to their hazardous, toxic, and pathogenic agent's contents therefore, proper management of them plays an important role in the control of environmental pollution and occurrence of hospital infections. In this study, medical waste management in all affiliated hospitals of Kerman University of Medical Sciences was investigated with the purpose of providing proper information for comprehensive and proper planning and enhancing quality of health services in future.</span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma;"> <strong>Method:</strong> This research was a cross-sectional descriptive study the data of which were collected about production, segregation, storage, collection, treating, transportation, and disposal by completing the questionnaire, raw tables, interviews, observation, and visiting in 2012-2013. </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma;"> <strong>Results:</strong> The total numbers of beds in the studied hospitals are 1512, 1269 of which are active beds. The bed occupancy percentage of the studied hospitals was measured 83.92 %. Also, the average rate of total generated waste was calculated 6.06 kg/bed/day. The mean rate of infectious, medicinal and chemical waste, general waste, and sharp waste were calculated 2.65, 3.35, and 0.08 kg/bed/day, respectively. Our results showed that about 43% of the generated waste was infectious, medicinal, and chemical. </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma;"> <strong>Conclusion: </strong>Finally, medical waste management in affiliated hospitals of Kerman University of Medical Sciences was in good condition, but it needs more attention in some cases.</span></span></p>
